Jonathan George's Blog

About Me

Who are you?

My name is Jonathan George. I live in Herfordshire, UK with my wife and kids. I’ve been a software developer for the last 12 years, starting on a bizarre (but all-to-common) mix of Oracle and Microsoft Access in the late ‘90s and moving through Visual Basic and Delphi to my current development language of choice, C#.

Since January 2011, I’ve been working at Earthware, one of the world’s leading experts in interactive web based mapping solutions. We use the latest mapping technology to create compelling visual experiences, bringing our clients products and services to life. We are also highly experienced in web site design and implementation and mobile solutions.

What are you talking about?

Mainly things I encounter in my day job – I started this blog to document some of my experiences performance tuning and testing the websites I’ve worked on. However, after working on a couple of projects based on S#arp Architecture whilst at EMCC, and also collaborating on Who Can Help Me?, a demonstration of how to use SA to build an enterprise-quality web application, I’ve now joined the S#arp Architecture development team so I am likely to be blogging a lot more about that in the coming months.
